More About This Wine
Founded in 1829 by a German national and two Frenchmen, the Bollinger Champagne house, located in Ay, has been producing Pinot based wines for almost two centuries.
90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - December 2013
(60% pinot noir, 25% chardonnay and 15% pinot meunier; L1316802): Vivid pink. High-pitched red berry and blood orange scents are complicated by a floral pastille element and a hint of smoky lees. Sappy and penetrating on the palate, offering vibrant citrus fruit and raspberry flavors and a touch of toastiness. Shows serious power on the finish, which echoes the red fruit and toast notes. This Champagne has the depth to handle rich foods and the energy and cut to provide pleasure on its own.
