($22) Deep red. Smokier and more powerful than the 2008 version, showing deep cherry and dark berry scents and a hint of cracked pepper. Tightly focused and lively, offering gently sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors and notes of cinnamon and mace. This very fresh wine finishes with strong lift and spicy persistence.
