($55) Medium yellow. Apple, spices and stone on the nose, plus a faint resiny nuance that carries through onto the palate. Offers some intriguing earthy, humid underbrush flavors to go with the apple and spices and shows a firm edge of acidity but could use a bit more verve. This rather fleshy wine will go hazelnutty in the bottle, but will it ever show more fruit? Incidentally, Lardiere likes Puligny best as an appellation in 2007, and believes that a lot of white Burgundies from this vintage are characterized by hazelnut and almond qualities.
