($30) Deep ruby. Powerful candied cherry and cassis aromas are brightened by smoky minerals and fresh lavender. Chewy, youthfully bitter cherry and cassis flavors become sweeter with air, picking up suave vanillin oak spice. I like this wine's finishing clarity and snap.
