($40; a blend of syrah, zinfandel and mourvedre) Ruby-red. Smoky, pungent dark berry and licorice aromas are complemented by dried violet and cured meat; really showing its syrah element today. Supple, slightly sweet black and blue fruit flavors coat the palate and betray no tannins. A touch loose-knit, but delivers sweet, sexy appeal and finishes with good cling.
