87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2008

($18; 95% tempranillo and 5% graciano) Medium red. Red berries, cherry and herbs on the nose, with subtle floral and mineral qualities adding complexity. Red fruit flavors are sweetened by vanilla and given bite by dusty tannins. Shows the lightness of the vintage but this is clean and precise, with good finishing lift and cut. Just missing some heft and length.
