($50) Good medium red. Sappy aromas of raspberry, dark cherry and flinty, smoky minerals. Rich and dense in the mouth but a bit bound-up, with an enticing sugar/acid balance giving this broad, layered, slightly reduced pinot lovely reserve. Finishes lush, sweet and impressively youthful, with a firm dusting of tannins. This began a bit chunky for a wine from this vineyard but grew sweeter and more pliant with extended aeration while maintaining a good mineral firmness to its dark berry, plum and spice flavors.
