93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2008

($223; for a magnum; 66% touriga nacional and 34% syrah) Glass-staining violet color. Smoky boysenberry and blueberry nose picks up strong floral and dark chocolate qualities with air. Tangy minerals brace deep black and blue fruit flavors, which turn spicier with air. Nicely combines depth and vivacity, and finishes with very good lift and thrust. Pretty compelling.
