90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September 2008

(one-third each cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and merlot) Saturated ruby. Sappy aromas of currant, graphite and licorice, along with a hint of molasses. Rich, chewy and sweet, with strong dark berry and chocolate flavors in the somewhat chunky, New World style of this producer. Not a particularly elegant wine but noteworthy for its impressive stuffing and generosity of fruit. Finishes with substantial tannins and decent mineral lift.
