2006 Bodega Numanthia-Termes Numanthia Toro

This fairly new project in Toro is also one of the region's finest. Numanthia-Termes is the source of heady, creamy-rich wines with powerful fruit and enough structure to maintain their shape and balance.  There's a costly luxury bottling called Termanthia from the estate's oldest vines, but the price is nearly four times as high as the Numanthia. The estate was recently sold (2008) by the Egueren family to luxury brand conglomerate LVMH; we expect they'll be ready to keep up the standards high.
