($35; a blend based on 65% grenache) Aromatic nose offers raspberry, blackberry, wild herbs, spices and violet. Sweet, creamy and smoky in the mouth, a bit less vibrant than the 2007 Subduction red but supple and accessible. A lush wine with intriguing hints of wild herbs and licorice. This too is balanced to give early pleasure. (These 2006 reds, incidentally, are sealed with glass stoppers, but at least two of my samples showed distinct oxidation notes.)
