Expert Reviews
Fresh Barlett pear fruitiness is the directing influence of this lively, clean-as-can-be bottling, and, while on the one hand fairly ripe and showing a trim of heat at the finish, it is briskly balanced and firmer in manner than Viognier is typically wont to be. No soft and flabby wine this, it lingers nicely with plenty of evident acid to support service with food.
Light yellow. Exotically perfumed bouquet displays a full range of fruit aromas, from citrus through orchard and pit and on into tropical and exotic. Lush Meyer lemon, peach and guava flavors stain the palate, with bitter pear skin and quince notes adding cut. Leaves smoky mineral and floral qualities behind on the strikingly long, sappy finish. This went completely through malo, but the impression it leaves is of elegance and precision.
