About Beckmen Vineyards

When winemaker Steve Beckmen returned from Italy in 1997, he was convinced that his family's recently purchased hillside in Santa Barbara County would be perfect for growing Rhône varietals. His father Tom was skeptical, but since then, Purisima Mountain Vineyard has established itself as one of the finest sources of Syrah and Grenache in the Central Coast.

Very good right out of the bottle. Flavorful. Nice aroma. Good for small dinner, 4-6 people. Santa Barbara cabernet
Doesn't Live Up To Previous Years

Compared to the past few years the 2006 Cabernet was a bit disappointing. I thought the taste was a little bitter with a lingering after taste. I would recommend looking elsewhere and lets hope the 2007 vintage is better
