($28) Full red. Pungent raspberry and blackberry aromas are complemented by nuances of cracked pepper, smoke and anise, along with a hint of tarry oak. Richer than it showed from barrel last year, offering chewy red and dark berry skin flavors and a late note of smoky minerals. Sweeter on the finish, with the red berry note repeating.
