($105) Medium gold. Ripe apricot, passion fruit and pear aromas express a nectar-like depth, with complicating notes of floral honey, anise and smoke. Plush and deeply sweet, with tropical and pit fruit compote flavors and a bitter note of pear skin. This is surprisingly energetic on the finish, with gentle acidity adding lift and focus. I'd serve this by itself, or with an extremely funky washed-rind cheese.
