($32) Bright ruby. Nervy, finely etched cherry and dark berry aromas are complicated by black pepper, cured meat and woodsmoke. Fleshy dark fruit flavors are braced by tangy acidity, which adds cut and lift. This is just as nervy as Les Launes but has better sweetness and depth. The finish is pure, focused and quite persistent but a touch dry.
