Deep ruby. Blackberry and mulberry aromas are complemented by licorice and violet, with a strong peppery overtone. Shows more weight and power than it did from barrel, with a smoky quality gaining strength with air. The finish is broad, spicy and a touch warm, leaving sweet dark fruit compote notes behind.
