(from the estate's oldest Crozes vines; aged entirely in new barriques following vinification in new demi-muids Bright ruby. Very fresh, lively aromas of raspberry, cherry and fresh flowers; there's something vaguely pinot-like about this wine. Clean and brisk, offering delicate red fruit flavors and sexy oak spices. Gains flesh with aeration, picking up dark berry and bitter cherry on the sweet finish. I really like this wine's blend of richness and energy.
