($12) Good medium ruby-red. Pure, varietally precise aromas of black cherry, bitter chocolate and licorice. Fairly broad and pliant but not overly sweet, offering flavors of raspberry, licorice, herbs and menthol. Showing a bit more structure than the Alamos merlot if not quite the same sweetness.
