($28) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, pepper, leather and sandalwood, with notes of smoke and meat that reminded me of syrah. Dense, layered wine with a pliant texture and ripe acidity to frame the berry flavors. Comes across as sweeter than the cabernet but not at all roasted. Good stuffing here.
