($38; reportedly from vines dating back to 1926) Bright ruby-red. Aromas of currant, blackberry, plum, chocolate, mint and nutty oak. Juicy and sweet, with good lift and definition to the plum and mint flavors. Higher-pitched and more firmly built than the other malbecs from this producer. I'd give this a year or two in the cellar.
