89 Points | International Wine Cellar , January/February 2009

($35; this is a joint project between Renacer and the Amarone producer Allegrini) Saturated medium ruby. Slightly raisiny aromas of dried fruits and licorice. On the palate, very sweet, palate-saturating dark berry flavors are lifted by bracing acidity , yet the wine's creamy texture gives it plenty of immediate sex appeal. Substantial tannins melt into the tongue on the persistent finish. This would be a terrific wine with red meat. Made from grapes dried on the vine and vinified in the Amarone style.
