93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2009

(($50; 15.1% alcohol) Saturated deep ruby. Sexy aromas of black raspberry, cola, coffee, licorice and flowers. Lush, pliant and sweet, with concentrated and harmonious flavors of black raspberry, nutty oak and minerals. This conveys superb palate-saturating breadth without excess weight, thanks to its excellent acidity and underlying minerality. Already a satisfying, vibrant mouthful but has substantial ripe tannins to support aging. Lovely fruit here.
