About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($305) Ruby-red. Seductively perfumed bouquet of dark berry preserve and cherry aromas, with complicating notes of pungent herbs and anise. Pliant, deeply concentrated dark fruit and floral pastille flavors, with a smoky, pungently herbal quality adding another element. This smooth, alluring wine finishes with noteworthy sweetness and persistent fruit and violet notes.
