94 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2009

($102) Dark purple. Exotically perfumed scents of blueberry, mulberry, black olive, violet and licorice, with a strong spicy overlay; smells like a top-notch wine from the northern Rhone. Round, sappy and palate-coating, offering sweet dark berry and cherry-cola flavors framed by velvety tannins. This gained weight with air but maintained clarity and vivacity, finishing with outstanding spicy persistence and a strong echo of dark berries.
