($40) Good full red. Racy, deep aromas of raspberry and mint, complicated by a woodsy element and hints of underbrush and sweet spices. Then sweet, plush, dense and silky, with well-focused flavors of red cherry, smoky plum, milk chocolate and tar. This impressively deep, powerful Chianti finishes very long, with bright acidity and a captivating floral element. Should go down as one of the best Montesodi vintages ever. Enjoy it over the next 30 years.
