Glass-staining purple. Ripe dark fruit aromas are complicated by woodsmoke, licorice, vanilla bean and roasted coffee, plus a sexy floral quality and a touch of Indian spices. Broad, palate-staining blackberry and boysenberry flavors display depth and a velvety texture, with a late note of peppery spice adding lift. This big, lush Priorat wine finishes with serious length and resonating dark fruit notes; it calls for suitably rich, even decadent food.
