90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2010

($24-$31; 14% alcohol) Bright ruby. Mineral-driven aromas of redcurrant, spices, violet and smoked meat. More spicy red and dark berry flavors on the palate, with silky tannins and harmonious acidity providing focus. The floral element repeats on the fresh, energetic, very long finish, which features a lovely lingering note of marzipan. This is much better than the '07 version.
