($100; 70% carinena, 25% garnatxa and 5% syrah) Bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of red- and blackcurrant slowly give way to deeper plum and smoky minerals. Lively red and dark berry preserve flavors are impressively concentrated, with cured meat and graphite nuances contributing complexity. The plummy quality gains strength with air and clings to the long, juicy finish. I'd enjoy this on the young side, for its lush fruit. (Boutique Wine Collection, Philadelphia, PA)
