(75% tempranillo, 15% mazuelo and 10% garnacha, raised in a combination of small American and French oak barrels): Ruby-red. Smoky aromas and flavors of candied cherry, blackberry and vanilla, with a slow-building coconut accent. Quite lush, with a seamless character and no obvious tannins. Weighty and smooth in texture, with strong finishing power and lingering oak spices. The bodega began doing the malolactic fermentation in barrel for their Reserva with this vintage and it shows in this wine's creaminess and smoky character.
