($30; sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon) Dark ruby. Delicately smoky plum and earth aromas on the nose, with hints of licorice and woodsy underbrush. Dense, rich and suave on entry, offering ripe flavors of dark fruit and fresh herbs. Finishes with a persistent violet quality and a hint of vanilla.
