Deep ruby. Aromas of dark plum, ink and licorice. Enters rich and smooth, with velvety chocolate and dark cherry flavors complicated by herbal accents, then turns a bit more austere on the long finish. A very modern-styled wine—and not my favorite kind of nero d'Avola—but well made and likely to win many admirers.
