Deep ruby. Riper aromas of black fruits, tomato, licorice and exotic spices on the somewhat medicinal nose. Sweet and supple on entry, with dark berry, graphite and minty flavors joined by tobacco and ripe tomato notes, then turns slightly dry and astringent at the back. Finishes with good length and a strong saline nuance. Though the 2007 version is a lighter, less showy wine, I prefer that wine's balance.
