($70; 74% cabernet sauvignon, 14% syrah, 10% cabernet franc and 2% carmenere) Glass-staining ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet displays fresh raspberry, cherry-cola, spicecake and incense. Juicy, penetrating yet seamless red and dark fruit flavors are given spine by zesty minerality. The spicy quality gains power with air and extends the long, sappy finish. As usual, this was one of the standouts of my annual tastings. (Bertin Henri Selections, Doral, FL)
