($95) Inky ruby. Powerful scents of blackcurrant, raspberry, Asian spices and vanilla. Supple and sweet on the palate, offering broad red and dark berry liqueur and floral pastille flavors and a velvety texture. The tannins seem invisible. Plenty alluring, with excellent finishing clarity and persistence, but the price is hardly shy.
