92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May 2009

($65) Moderately saturated medium red. Strawberry, mocha and musky brown spices on the rather low-pitched nose. Then dense and sweet in the mouth, with good richness and texture to the raspberry, brown spice and underbrush flavors. More aromatic in the mouth than the nose would suggest, but this tactile, chewy wine is classically dry and backward today. Finishes with plenty of tannins and excellent persistence. Lemon notes that the 2007 pinots have "sneaky tannins."
