($50) Vivid ruby. Highly expressive bouquet displays scents of wild strawberry, raspberry, Asian spices and minerals. Very fresh wine, with sharply focused red berry character and lively snap. No way that I would have guessed that this graceful wine was a shiraz. The finish is gently sweet and brisk, with very good tangy cut and a lingering raspberry note.
