About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

($105) Bright ruby. Seductive bouquet of ripe red berries, roasted herbs and potpourri. Fleshy and deeply concentrated, offering slightly warm raspberry and cherry compote flavors with a hint of smoke. Creamy on the finish, delivering a serious wallop of rich red fruit and a bit of heat. Impressive for its power but this will be a tough match at the table.
