About Castellare di Castellina
The product of five farms joined together, Castellare di Castellina lies near the village of Castellare in the heart of Chianti Classico. Formed in 1968, Castellare covers 80 hectares, 33 of which are planted to a mix of Italian and Bordeaux varieties, namely Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Cabernet.

(mostly sangiovese; aged in barriques; 31 g/l dry extract) Medium red with a pale rim. Highly aromatic nose offers ripe red cherry complicated by marjoram, dried flowers and bay leaf. Crisp and floral in the mouth, with energetic red berry, coffee and mint flavors further lifted by a refreshing minerality. The bright, very long finish leaves behind spice and floral notes.
