($28) Palish yellow-gold. Honey on the nose, along with sexy, creamy oak notes of vanilla and spices. Fat, sweet and seamless, with very round flavors of exotic fruits, vanilla and smoke. This has the weight and palate presence of chardonnay, but finishes with a touch of alcoholic warmth. (My sample of the 2006 bottling showed a more prominent wet-stone minerality but also a hint of incipient oxidation.)
