Benchmark Visan

Translucent, nearly opaque ruby color. Masculine nose of white pepper, dark ripe plum, saddle leather, and hints of wet earth. Still firmly tannic and muscular on the palate, but already a touch softer than it was on release. More flavors dark fruit and leather on the palate, with that juicy (not overripe) finish that we fell in love with last year. This has perhaps another two years of positive evolution if stored well. Drink now with a quick decant, or cellar through 2016.

Great CDR, perfect blend of ripeness and acidity with nice clean tannins.
