($72; from glacial soil rich in alluvial deposits) Good ruby-red. Richer and deeper on the nose than the Red Willow example, offering ripe black raspberry and chocolate aromas accented by herbs and pepper. Juicy and intense, with lovely lift to the raspberry fruit. This wine's captivating sugar/acid balance gives it a succulent quality, and the long finish leaves the taste buds vibrating.
