($50) Inky ruby. Smoky cherry and redcurrant aromas are complicated by notes of cured tobacco, cigarbox and dried rose. Very cabernet, offering bitter cherry and red berry flavors and a sneaky note of licorice. Tannins kick in with air and extend through the long, spicy finish, which features a zesty note of cracked pepper.
