Fantastic RRV Pinot
Wow this wine blew me away so much I went searching back on the site for more bottle (alas it is "sold out"). Incredible long finish and a strong nose that you can detect 3-4" above the glass with wonderful scorched earth, red fruit and spice. Firm tannins suggest a long life ahead.
Very smooth with nice aromas. One of my favorite pino noir's
Great pinot, and amazing for the WA price
10-13-13: Lovely nose of oak, smoke, and forest floor. Excellent balance of deep, red fruit and earthiness. Predominant flavors of strawberry, black cherry, and a touch of orange peel. Complete with a long, velvety finish, this is simply an outstanding RRV pinot - and totally ready to drink now. I've paid twice as much for good pinots - but they weren't as good as this one! A real winner, and great value, too, at WA's price.
Living up to the hype
I really like Russian River Pinots, Rochioli, Williams-Selyem Rochioli Riverblock and Westside Road Neighbors... This was described by WineAccess as having those kinds of properties. I just got the case, and probably should have let it settle a bit, but I opened a bottle the first evening. It lived up to the description. Deeper color than some of the other Russian River Pinots in my cellar, and lots of red fruit and dark cherries on the nose and palate. 5 stars for the price, without question. I am looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
cork a problem
I have opened 2 bottles of this excellent wine. Both bottles had corks that crumbled on opening. However the wine was outstanding after being allowed to breathe . I have doubts about how long to hold the rest of the bottles before opening. My tasting suggest I should wait several more years but don't feel confident the corks will hold. 4/4/14
Very nice Pinot Noir
Was very nice right out of the bottle. Soft nose, mellow fresh taste. Not too much fruit but very definitely a lovely Pinot Noir. Will still be good in a couple of years.
Nice Pinot Noir
This is a very good RRV Pinot that is drinking very nicely right now. Almost seven years old so is probably about as good as it is going to get. I would drink over the next year or so for the nice, full fruit flavors and mild acidity giving it some complexity.

For a 2007 this still has a little too much tannic acid for my taste. We will see if it smothes out over time. Great fruit after a smooth start but again a little harsh on the finish.
Gets the cherry note for RRV spot on, albeit a bit darker than most. Dark, small cherries, nutmeg, and dry loam. I found the cherry note to be wonderful, but there was not terribly much complexity. Not too much change after 3+ hours. Between this low showing and some comments regarding longevity problems, concerned this bottling is on the back of the bell curve.
Nice value RR valley Pinot
I bought a few cases of this one. I love the Williams Selyem pinots and the DuNah is lovely as well. Nice fruit with good balance. Outstanding for the money. The only negative is that there is quite a bit of variability from bottle to bottle. Some are excellent, but I've had several corked bottles.
more than worth the price.
I thought this fruit forward wine was an excellent buy. I would buy it again in a minute!
2007 Dunah Pinot Noir
Enjoyable, easy drinking. Very tasty...
First Rate Pinot
This is an excellent wine, with depth, real pinot character, and a very good acid balance. It tastes like what I hope Burgundies in this price range will taste like but never do. Interestingly, it arrived together with the half case of M. Autumn pinot I ordered, and the contrast could not be more clear. Next to the DuNah, the M. Autumn is almost tasteless. Wish I had ordered a full case of the DuNah.
A good argument for screw tops!
Wine is OK, but having problems with the corks. We've tried 3 bottles and the corks are dry and brittle - all three broke. I'm guessing this wine will not keep well - perhaps already past its prime.
