($20) Saturated ruby. Deeply aromatic nose combines cassis, boysenberry, loam and black cardamom. Ripe, rich and supple, with a seamless texture to the flavors of dark berries, candied licorice and mocha. There's a juicy, gentle touch to the lush fruit, and the tannins seem fully absorbed. The long, supple finish features smooth, slow-building spiciness and an exotic floral quality. This is drinking very well right now.
