($35; 60% carinena, 30% garnacha and 10% syrah) Inky ruby. High-pitched red and dark berry aromas are complemented by incense, cracked pepper and smoky minerals. A seductive floral note gains strength with air and carries onto the palate, joining sweet raspberry and mulberry flavors. The pepper and mineral notes repeat on the strikingly sweet, focused, persistent finish. This wine is made by Ester Nin, of Clos Erasmus fame. (Eric Solomon Selections, Charlotte, NC)
