91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2011

($40; 35% carignan, 29% syrah, 26% malbec and 10% cabernet sauvignon) Deep ruby. An expressive bouquet displays scents of red berry compote and cherry, complicated by a spice and floral character accompanied by a hint of cracked pepper. Sweet, sappy raspberry and violet pastille flavors show a touch of smoky oak spice and provide excellent palate coverage. Rich but energetic, with very good finishing clarity and juicy persistence. This is delicious now.
