($60) Bright yellow-gold. Highly complex aromas of orange, papaya, honey and dried lemon, with a floral suggestion lending lift. Fat and silky but refreshingly dry, with ripe acidity giving shape and verve to the exotic fruit and sexy vanillin oak flavors. This expansive wine boasts excellent depth and finishes with a firming edge of acidity. Most of this fruit came from the Ritchie vineyard and this is the only 2007 chardonnay that received some battonage
