($55) Vivid red. Raspberry, cherry, graphite and fresh rose on the nose. Fleshy yet brisk, offering sweet red berry preserve flavors and notes of sweet tobacco and candied rose. A snap of dusty minerals adds energy and focus to the long, sappy finish. I like this wine's blend of sweetness and tension, and suspect that it will repay a few years in the cellar.
