About Araujo Estate
Since 1990, Bart and Daphne Araujo have carried on the tradition of making monster Cabernets from the Eisele Vineyard, adding Syrah into the mix as well. Their flagship bottling is dense, powerful and rich, typically with soil-inflected notes of plum, mocha, tobacco and smoke, and very suave tannins.

($110) Deep ruby. Very pure, lively aromas of blackberry, violet, licorice and bitter chocolate. Dense, spicy and sweet but not weighty, offering complex flavors of black fruits and minerals complicated by chocolate and game. The long finish features suave, fine-grained tannins and impressive persistence. This has turned out very well.
